Most of the focus of this chapter is often put on John 3:16, but one of the more profound passages is found before that. Nicodemus, the religious expert is told by Jesus, “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”. In being born again into the family of God, we are given new eyes to see the Kingdom at work around us, God’s compassion for the world, and what God is up to in the world — more on this later.
